Mbithe Wambua's career in Human Resources is anchored in a clear conviction: organisations do not outperform the quality of their people and culture. Over more than seventeen years, she has led people and culture strategy across globally respected luxury hospitality brands, shaping high-performance environments where service excellence is deliberate.
At Serena Hotels, she aligns people strategy with ambitious business goals across diverse properties in Africa. Her work with senior leaders and boards focuses on strengthening capability, engagement and a culture where employees are supported to deliver extraordinary guest experiences.
Her earlier leadership experience across Fairmont and Accor, together with her foundation at Sankara Hotel, shaped an approach grounded in clarity, empathy and strategic thinking. Her academic and professional qualifications span Human Resource Management, executive leadership, organisational development, coaching and change management; she is currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration specialising in Leadership and Change Management.

Nthabiseng Thaba is the Human Resources Director at Leroy Merlin South Africa and a member of the Executive Committee. She is an accomplished people and culture leader with broad experience across retail, manufacturing, organisational transformation, talent development and business expansion.
Nthabiseng works closely with executive leadership and the Board on people strategy, remuneration, succession planning, organisational design and workforce capability. She is passionate about creating inclusive, high-performance cultures where employees are placed at the heart of business success and share in the value they help create.
Her leadership approach combines commercial insight with a strong commitment to employee growth, meaningful transformation and sustainable business performance. Nthabiseng is currently an MBA candidate at Wits Business School, further strengthening her strategic and commercial leadership capabilities.
